I know we hear a lot about what’s your purpose? Do you know how to find your purpose? Purpose this, purpose that. When did we get so wrapped up in, "you’re not fulfilling your dreams, if you don’t know your purpose?" I guess I have a very different outlook on life and the flexibility of it when you have a passion for something. We're forced where we have to figure out our purpose in life, honestly why are we figuring it out if God has already mapped out his plan for us? Don’t get me wrong it’s okay to think about it, but you’d be wrecking your brain trying to figure it out. Especially when timing is everything, instead focus on your passion & fire. Focus on figuring out the things in life that you’re most passionate about. The things that spark your flame to your fire. Lol, yes, corny I know but even the corniest things make the most sense. A lot of people turn their hobbies into passions and their passions into their purpose and honestly that’s how I look at this entrepreneur path that I am on.
Urban dictionary definition of Passion says:
"Passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It is more than just enthusiasm or excitement, passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind body and soul into something as is possible."
I used this particular definition because it spoke for itself. When you’re passionate doing the things you love it’s never a job. It will never be something that will prevent you from succeeding. My hobby turnt into my passion when I simply didn’t even know it at the time. I was just the girl that made picture collages with a bunch of text on it and that’s when people started taking my designs serious enough inquiring business out of my hobby. When I realized how serious people were taking me and my designs I knew I had to take things to another level.
When you’re passionate about the things that you’re putting out into the universe you’re willing to do whatever it takes to perfect those skills. I knew I had to get better at my craft so I did everything I could to perfect my skills. Since I am a self taught graphic designer. I begin improving my skills through tutorials and projects and I know there are still so many more things that I can learn, but when you’re passionate about something you won’t stop at being the best at what you do!
Just keep in mind when you have a brand or business you should ALWAYS be passionate about it that’s what helps you to keep going!
